This virtual exposition and its pedagogical section recount and illustrate the exceptional history of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame founded by Marguerite Bourgeoys.

The general public and students will find a carefully popularized story of an educational work that began in Montreal more than 350 years ago, was implemented in five continents and continues today.

From one section to another of the exposition, we will see how the Sisters of the Congrégation, as committed citizens and experienced educators, contributed to the progress of society.

Among other things, this educational work, a product of the profound faith and tireless will of Marguerite Bourgeoys and of the 7,000 women religious who followed in her footsteps, has resulted in a remarkable advancement of women.
